CAMHS stands for 'Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services'. CAMHS exists to promote the mental health and psychological wellbeing of children and young people.

Children's Psychological Services - Children Looked After and Adopted in Blackpool

The focus of the support we offer is to work in partnership with carers and other professionals, to contribute a psychological perspective on the impacts of neglect and abuse on the development, emotional well-being and behaviour of children in the care of Blackpool Council.

Children’s Psychological Services - Blackburn with Darwen Fast Track Team

The Blackburn with Darwen Fast Track Service is a collaborative service provided jointly by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority.

Children’s Psychological Services - Fylde Coast

All children get upset sometimes and can have difficulties in their family lives.

We see children and young people who are very worried, sad or angry. This can affect their daily lives, including their behaviour, other feelings, eating and sleeping, as well as their relationships with friends and family.

Children’s Psychological Services - SCAYT+, Psychological services for Children Looked After and Adopted in Lancashire

The primary clinical focus of the service is to:

  1. Offer psychological consultation to social workers and other staff working with children and young people who are Looked After by Lancashire County  Council (LCC) as well as children adopted
  2. Provide psychological advice and support to adoptive families, foster carers and residential staff regarding children and young people in the care of LCC.
  3. Provide training sessions, alongside partner agencies, to adoptive families as well as  foster carers looking after LCC children
  4. Following initial consultations, carry out specialist assessment work and therapeutic interventions for children and young people adopted and those  in the care of LCC

Hospital Services (The Cove)

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Tier 4 services provide inpatient and outreach services to adolescents and families who are resident within Lancashire and South Cumbria and who have acute mental health difficulties.

Lancashire Early Intervention Service (EIS)

The Lancashire Early Intervention for Psychosis Service (EIS) aims to help people who have experienced psychosis understand experiences which can be distressing, confusing and that can prevent them from living the lives they want to live. Getting the right help early can help people understand and deal with these experiences effectively, so enabling them to continue living the lives that they want to lead.
